Thoughts on the “Hugo” film

The weather remained harsh and icy today, so I decided not to poke my head out of the house. I dug out a forgotten film on my computer – Hugo by Martin Scorsese, sat down and watched it. The plot is about a boy who lost his father – clockmaker in a fire. He lives alone now at the railway station in Paris, takes care of clocks in the building, steals food and works on an old robot which his father didn’t manage to fix. With its colourful picture, computer effects and straightforward script the film is meant for young viewers. However, it failed to impress me. Maybe your heart will be touched. Anyway, here’s the trailer:

If you’ve seen the movie, share your opinion.
